Long before the arcade supports were manufactured and assembled in the ZAM project in Munich Freiham, thought was already being given to process optimisation of the arcade support construction.
On the basis of two sample columns erected in the run-up to the start of construction, target/actual checks were carried out using the latest 3D laser scanning technology.
The aim was to identify any complications during assembly at an early stage and to generate appropriate solutions. After the column assembly, it must be possible to precisely install further precast concrete parts so that a nice, clean appearance is given for the joints and alignments.
The acquisition was carried out quickly, precisely and successfully with the help of 3D scanning technology.
